How Traction Control Brakes Work

Hydraulic brakes, which are on almost all motor sports vehicles today, lock on the high and low spots on the rotor. As you are aware, when your brakes lock at high speeds you risk dumping your motorcycle or flipping your ATV. The TCB unit replaces your current banjo bolt in your brake caliper and acts like a shock absorber to help your brake pads float over the rotors’ high and low spots.

In addition to helping you avoid premature locking of your brakes, your TCB unit also helps you regulate how much of your vehicles braking capacity you are utilizing. For instance, the difference between a little bit of braking and locking your wheels on many vehicles back brakes is very slight. Once you have the Traction Control Brakes installed on your vehicle you will feel more range in your brake levers which will help you regulate the amount of braking you are utilizing.
